Dr Prabani Wood

Adjunct Fellow

Prabani is a Research Fellow at The New Zealand Initiative, focusing on Health. She has over fourteen years of experience as a GP, with extensive postgraduate experience in medicine, surgery, anesthetics, and public health. She holds a master's in public health from the University of Auckland, providing her with in-depth knowledge of both general public health and New Zealand's health system.

Prabani established a new GP practice in 2015, serving around 8,500 patients. This gave her extensive experience in health policy, strategic planning and healthcare management. She now works in medical advisory roles to improve the planning, delivery and maintenance of quality healthcare for all New Zealanders.
