Chelsy Killick
Deputy Director, Organisation
Chelsy is the Deputy Director, Organisation, bringing over three decades of extensive experience across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. She has been with The New Zealand Initiative since its founding in 2012 and has played a crucial role in building and shaping the organisation.
Chelsy oversees finance, human resources, communications, operations and membership and works closely with the Board on governance matters. She also
leads the planning and delivery of the organisation’s flagship events, including the annual members’ retreat and international delegations, most recently to the Netherlands in 2025. Working with local partners in each country, these delegations connect CEOs, Chairs, politicians and other senior stakeholders directly with businesses, government agencies and policymakers overseas.
